Bavaria won third league title in a row, Schalke with third bankruptcy

The chasing duel Wolfsburg against Hertha ended 2:2, Leipzig won for the first time, Augsburg lost in Mainz, Hoffenheim in Düsseldorf with 1:2.

Munich – FC Bayern remains flawless in the German Bundesliga. The Munich team celebrated a 3-1 home win over Bayer Leverkusen on Saturday, two points ahead of their first rivals, including Hertha BSC and Wolfsburg. The duel between the two teams ended after a dramatic 2-2 finish.

Five days before the European League match against Salzburg, Leipzig won their first championship match of the season with a home 3-2 win over Hanover, Düsseldorf beat Hoffenheim 2-1 in front of their own audience and Mainz beat Augsburg 2-1 at home.

Curious start Munich

The game in Munich began curiously: After a hand penalty for which Thiago was to blame, Kevin Volland was defeated by Bayern goalie Manuel Neuer. The penalty shot was repeated, however, because players had run into the sixteen before the execution. The second attempt was carried out by Wendell – covered by the rules – and was scored 1-0 for the Leverkusen team (5th).

The answer of the Bavarians was not long in coming. Corentin Tolisso set to 1:1 (10.), Arjen Robben increased nine minutes later with a remarkable shot to 2:1. Then the defending champion remained the leading team until the final whistle, but only scored one goal through James Rodriguez (89.). David Alaba came on the field with the Munich team in the 82nd minute, Aleksandar Dragovic played through with the losers who were still without points and decimated from the 80th minute (red against Karim Bellarabi). Ramazan Özcan was sitting on the bench, Julian Baumgartlinger was missing due to a knee injury.

Schalke in crisis

The false start of Schalke 04 is perfect. The runner-up has conceded his third defeat in the third game of the season. The “Königsblauen” had to admit defeat to Borussia Mönchengladbach with 1:2 and are therefore only in 15th place. The goals for the fourth placed hosts were scored by Matthias Ginter (3rd) and Patrick Herrmann (76th), Breel Embolo only provided cosmetic results (93rd).

The Tyrolean Alessandro Schöpf came onto the field in the 25th minute, Guido Burgstaller was replaced in the 67th minute.

Spectacular final phases

Behind the record champion and Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg and Hertha are third and fourth respectively. The Berliners took the lead twice through Javairo Dilrosun (61st) and Ondrej Duda (91st), but had to accept the equalizer through Yunus Malli (87th) and Admir Mehmedi (93rd).

The final phase in Mainz was similarly spectacular. Ji Dong-Won brought the visitors from Augsburg into the lead in the 82nd minute, but the hosts managed the turnaround thanks to Anthony Ujah (87th) and Alexandru Maxim (93rd). Prior to that, Michael Gregoritsch had cheered on Martin Hinteregger’s supposed 1-0 victory in the eighth minute after passing, but his goal was rightly disallowed after the video assistant intervened.

Hinteregger was in action at Augsburg over the entire distance, Gregoritsch was taken off the pitch in the 73rd minute. Kevin Danso watched from the bench. On the other side Karim Onisiwo played through, Philipp Mwene was a substitute.

Schnitzer from Ilsanker

Their compatriots Konrad Laimer (from 61st) and Marcel Sabitzer (from 74th) were substituted at Leipzig’s premiere victory in this league season, Stefan Ilsanker played 3:2 in front of his own audience against Hannover as well as Kevin Wimmer with the guests. Ilsanker made a mistake in the meantime 1:1 by Niclas Füllkrug (13th). NetBet is one of the most popular online casino site.

But that didn’t change the victory of the Leipziger – Yussuf Poulsen (9.) and Timo Werner (40., 63.) scored for the Saxons at the dress rehearsal for the European League duel with Red Bull Salzburg next Thursday. The goal of Miiko Albornoz (65th) was only result cosmetics.

In Düsseldorf it set a surprising 1:2 defeat for Champions League starter Hoffenheim after goals from Alfredo Morales (45th) and Dodi Lukebakio (88th) and Reiss Nelson (86th) respectively. Florian Grillitsch played through at Hoffenheim, Stefan Posch was replaced in the 72nd minute.
